AR/VR Lesson Builder for Immersive Classroom Learning
Immersive lessons, like walking through a cell or standing inside a historical scene, measurably improve engagement, but almost no teachers can build them because AR and VR development normally demands game-engine expertise schools do not have. An authoring platform that makes immersive lesson creation as approachable as building a slide deck changes who gets to teach this way. The intern builds that platform on open web standards. Educators compose lessons in a React interface, arranging 3D content rendered with Three.js and delivered through WebXR so students can join from headsets or ordinary browsers. Generative AI assists content creation by drafting quiz questions, narration scripts, and scene descriptions from a topic prompt, while a Node.js backend manages lessons, classrooms, and real-time collaborative editing. Quizzes and in-scene interactions feed analytics dashboards that show educators exactly where students engage deeply and where they stall. The intern works across a genuinely modern stack, spanning 3D rendering, WebXR session management, AI-assisted authoring, and collaborative web architecture, and finishes with one of the more distinctive portfolio pieces in education technology.
