Logistics Route Planning Engine With Traffic and Weather Awareness

For logistics operators, routing is a daily optimization problem with real money attached: traffic, weather, delivery windows, and fuel costs shift constantly, and a plan that was optimal at six in the morning is stale by nine. Dispatchers need routes that adapt, and finance teams need the cost story behind every plan they approve. The intern builds a route planning platform where generative AI produces and revises delivery plans. Given a fleet, a set of stops, and live constraints such as traffic conditions, weather, vehicle capacity, and driver hours, the AI generates route plans with sequencing rationale and cost analyses, then regenerates them as conditions change. A Node.js backend manages plan generation and real-time updates, MongoDB stores fleets, routes, and revision history, and the React frontend presents interactive maps where dispatchers inspect, adjust, and approve routes before exporting driver schedules. Secure user management keeps operator, dispatcher, and driver views appropriately distinct. The project blends optimization thinking with modern AI tooling and teaches the intern to build software where generated plans must survive contact with real-world constraints and human oversight.

College Canteen Demand and Pricing Study

Every college canteen runs on guesswork. The contractor raises the samosa from 15 to 20 rupees, sales dip for a fortnight, and nobody can say whether the loss in volume was worth the gain in margin, because no one has ever drawn a demand curve for a samosa. Students grumble that the cold coffee is overpriced while the thali sells out by half past one, and the two facts are treated as unrelated complaints rather than as evidence about how price-sensitive each item really is. It is the closest thing a first-year economics student has to a laboratory. The intern turns that laboratory into a study. A short price-ladder questionnaire built in google-forms asks at least 120 students across two campus canteens how many units of five named items they would buy in a week at four different prices, producing demand schedules that are then converted in excel into arc elasticities, revenue curves and a revenue-maximising price for each item. A three-day footfall and queue count adds observed behaviour beside the stated answers, and the results become a chart pack, a six-page pricing memo, a proposed menu card designed in canva and a ten-slide deck for the canteen management. Completing the project takes the intern from textbook demand theory to a defensible pricing recommendation: writing survey questions that do not lead the respondent, building schedules from raw responses, computing elasticity with the midpoint formula, spotting where stated intentions and observed queues disagree, and presenting a price change to someone whose income depends on it. Market research firms, pricing and revenue teams, FMCG management trainee programmes and consulting analysts all interview for exactly this reasoning, and the public repository shows the intern doing it on real data.

Crop Disease Classification Service Using Transfer Learning

Crop diseases are often identified too late for effective intervention because farmers and field agronomists rarely have quick access to plant pathology expertise. A photograph of a diseased leaf contains enough signal for accurate diagnosis, but turning that signal into a dependable, scalable service is a genuine engineering challenge for agricultural research groups. The intern builds a full diagnostic platform around transfer learning: pre-trained ResNet and MobileNet backbones are fine-tuned in PyTorch on crop disease imagery, with OpenCV and NumPy handling preprocessing and a data augmentation pipeline improving robustness to lighting and orientation. A Streamlit interface lets users upload leaf photos and receive ranked disease predictions alongside explainable AI visualizations that highlight the image regions driving each classification, while a FastAPI service exposes a batch inference endpoint for research workloads and pandas powers summary reporting. The entire system is containerized with Docker so it can be deployed consistently across lab and cloud environments. The project demonstrates end-to-end applied computer vision: adapting pre-trained networks to a specialist domain, communicating model reasoning to non-technical users, and packaging research code as a deployable, reproducible service.

Brand Identity Refresh Proposal

Suraj Sweets has sold mithai from the same corner of Johari Bazaar in Jaipur since 1987, and it shows. Three different versions of the logo appear on the signboard, the sweet boxes, and the delivery-app thumbnail. The boxes are printed in whatever colours the local press had in stock that month. The shop is trusted and busy during Diwali, and almost invisible the rest of the year to anyone under thirty, because the gifting customers it used to own have quietly moved to newer dessert brands with tighter, more photogenic identities. The intern builds a complete brand identity refresh proposal for this shop and argues for it the way a consultant would. The work begins with a scored audit of fourteen customer-facing touchpoints and a perception survey of sixty respondents run through google-forms, then moves into a competitor identity matrix, a written positioning statement, three logo directions designed in canva with one taken to final, a full colour and typography system, eight applied mockups shown as a before-and-after board, and a client-facing pitch deck built in powerpoint that ends with a ninety-day rollout plan and a print budget. Completing the project teaches the intern the part of branding that recruiters actually test for, which is not whether you can draw a nice logo but whether you can defend one. Diagnosis before design, evidence before opinion, and a rollout plan that respects a family business's budget and sentiment are the habits that separate a brand strategist from a template user, and the finished proposal is a portfolio artefact that demonstrates all three.

Lightweight Text Generation API Built With LangServe

The gap between a working LangChain script and a service other software can call is deployment, and LangServe exists to close it: it turns chains into REST APIs with typed endpoints, streaming, and an interactive playground almost for free. Knowing this path from notebook to network service is essential for any developer who wants their AI work used by anyone other than themselves, and this project walks it end to end at a friendly scale. The intern builds a FastAPI project in Python that exposes a text generation chain through LangServe. The intern first constructs the chain itself with LangChain, a prompt template feeding a language model with configurable parameters such as topic and style, then mounts it as a LangServe route, gaining automatically generated endpoints for invocation, batching, and streaming. Around this core the intern adds a health check, request logging, and clear API documentation, then exercises the service from the built-in playground and from an external client script to prove the full round trip works. The project teaches deployment fundamentals for LLM applications: how chains become HTTP services, how FastAPI and LangServe divide responsibilities, what streaming responses look like on the wire, and how to structure a small AI service so that adding the next endpoint is easy, foundations the intern will reuse in every production AI role.

Startup Business Plan and Pitch Deck

Around every large Indian campus there is a floating population of students living in PG rooms with no kitchen, eating a rotating mix of mess food, sixty-rupee street thalis, and app-delivered biryani that costs three times what a home-cooked meal would. Small tiffin services spring up to serve them every semester, and most fold within a year, not because the food was bad but because nobody ever costed a meal, priced a plan, or worked out how many subscribers the kitchen needed before it stopped losing money. The gap is not culinary, it is managerial. The intern founds a fictional venture on paper and takes it all the way to an investable proposal. Working around a tiffin subscription called Tiffin Trail, the intern runs a demand survey in google-forms and a round of student and PG-owner interviews, prices three subscription plans against a per-meal cost build-up, models thirty-six months of revenue, costs, and cash in google-sheets with named unit economics such as contribution margin, customer acquisition cost, and break-even month, maps five competitors across eight attributes, drafts a business model canvas in notion, and packages the whole thing as an eighteen to twenty-two page business plan, a one-page executive summary, and a twelve-slide investor deck designed in canva. By the end the intern has practised customer discovery, pricing, financial modelling, competitive analysis, and the specific discipline of making a plan, a model, and a deck all tell the same story without contradicting each other. These are the skills every incubator interview, consulting case round, and business-analyst assignment tests for, and a repository holding a complete founding document set is far stronger evidence of them than any elective on the transcript.
