Self-Healing Infrastructure Monitoring for Healthcare Applications

When healthcare applications go down, appointment systems stall, records become unreachable, and patient care degrades — so their infrastructure must detect, report, and heal problems faster than humans can respond. This project builds the monitoring and automation layer that makes that possible. The intern develops a DevOps-driven monitoring and alerting system for healthcare application infrastructure: Docker and Kubernetes run the workloads, Jenkins automates build and deployment, and Ansible keeps configuration consistent and auditable. Prometheus scrapes real-time metrics from services and cluster components while Grafana turns them into dashboards and threshold-based alerts; the ELK Stack centralizes logs for investigation and compliance review. The intern configures Kubernetes for automated scaling and self-healing — restarting failed pods, rescheduling workloads off unhealthy nodes, and scaling with load — and applies secure deployment practices appropriate to healthcare's regulatory standards. The project develops genuine site reliability instincts: deciding what to measure, alerting without noise, and automating recovery — the high-availability operations skills that hospitals and health-tech companies depend on.
