Editorial Content Scheduling and Publishing Workspace
Newsrooms and content studios coordinate dozens of writers, editors, and administrators across drafts, revisions, schedules, and publication deadlines, and generic tools fit that workflow poorly. This project builds the frontend for a content operations platform designed around how editorial teams actually work. The intern constructs the interface with React and TypeScript, using Redux Toolkit to manage the substantial shared state of a multi-role application and Tailwind CSS for a clean, responsive design built on semantic HTML and modern CSS. Each role gets a purpose-built dashboard: writers draft and submit content, editors review, schedule, and approve, and admins manage users and oversee the pipeline. Advanced media handling supports images and embedded assets within content, and real-time collaboration features keep concurrent editors aware of one another's changes. The project pushes frontend architecture well past simple pages: designing component hierarchies that scale, modeling workflow state transitions in Redux, and gating UI by permission. Completing it demonstrates the intern can build the kind of complex, role-aware interface that professional content organizations run their business on.
