Personalized Shopping Frontend With Recommendations and Checkout

Added Jun 2025 3 design docs

Online shoppers abandon stores that show them irrelevant products and clunky checkouts; modern retail wins on personalization and frictionless flow. This project builds a storefront frontend engineered around both, from the first product impression to the final payment step. The intern develops the interface in React and TypeScript with Redux Toolkit managing cart, session, and personalization state, and Tailwind CSS providing a fast, responsive design over well-structured HTML and CSS. Product discovery combines advanced search with dynamic filtering that updates results instantly, while a recommendation layer surfaces products tailored to each authenticated user's behavior. The checkout flow integrates with payment APIs and is designed to minimize steps and errors, since checkout friction is where e-commerce revenue leaks. User authentication ties the personalized experience together across sessions. The intern learns to architect performant state management under frequent UI updates, coordinate asynchronous API integration cleanly, and translate merchandising concepts like recommendations and conversion into working interface code. The finished storefront demonstrates frontend engineering at the standard commercial e-commerce teams expect.
