Renewable Energy Device Monitoring and Visualization Console

Added Jun 2025 3 design docs

Renewable energy operators manage solar arrays, wind turbines, and storage spread across sites, and every hour a failing device goes unnoticed is lost generation and revenue. This project builds the monitoring interface that keeps those distributed fleets visible from a single console. The intern builds the suite with Next.js and TypeScript, rendering real-time visualizations of power output, device status, and site-level performance so operators spot anomalies as they emerge. A device management view supports registering, inspecting, and organizing assets across locations, while advanced authentication controls who can view and manage which sites. Redux Toolkit manages the continuously updating data and UI state, and Tailwind CSS provides responsive layouts that hold up in both control-room and field use. The project gives the intern deep practice with live-data frontend engineering, including polling and update strategies, chart components that stay smooth under refresh, and state design for streams rather than snapshots, all in the context of clean-energy infrastructure. The finished suite demonstrates the ability to build operational software for the energy transition, a sector hiring aggressively for exactly these skills.
